Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Algo Veda, operated by Algoveda ("Algo Veda", "we", "us", "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you visit algoveda.com or use the Algo Veda platform at trade.algoveda.com.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
When you register, request a demo, or contact us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, and any information you share with us (including via WhatsApp).
1.2 Broker API and trading data
When you connect a supported broker (such as Sharekhan, Angel One, 5paisa, or Alice Blue), you authorize Algo Veda to access certain data through that broker's official API — including the API keys/access tokens you provide, and the order, position, and trade data needed to run and display your strategies. We do not request or store your broker login password. API keys/tokens are used only to place and manage orders per your configured strategies, and you can revoke them at any time from your broker's developer console.
1.3 Automatically collected data
We and our hosting provider collect standard web log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL) and basic analytics used to monitor and improve performance. The public website also loads third-party resources — Google Fonts, Font Awesome, Cloudinary (embedded video), and AiSensy (WhatsApp chat widget) — each of which may receive standard request metadata as an inherent part of serving that resource, under their own privacy policies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the platform, including connecting to your broker and running your configured strategies.
- To respond to inquiries and provide onboarding and support.
- To send you service-related communications and, where you have not opted out, promotional messages via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or phone. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- To monitor security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including SEBI's algorithmic trading framework.
3. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and access controls that limit employee access to information to legitimate business purposes. [Add any further measures actually in place, e.g. token storage practices, firewalls, hosting security.] No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. How We Share Information
It is our policy not to sell your personal information. We share information only as needed:
- With your connected broker, to place and manage orders on your instruction.
- With service providers that help us run the platform (hosting, messaging/WhatsApp, video hosting), bound to use the data only for that purpose.
- With regulators or authorities where required by law, court order, or SEBI/exchange obligations (including Algo ID and audit-trail requirements).
We do not share your broker API credentials with anyone other than the broker itself.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
algoveda.com uses minimal cookies/local storage, including one to remember that you have acknowledged the Risk Disclosure notice, plus any set by the third-party embeds described in Section 1.3. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal and trading-related data for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal, regulatory, audit, and dispute-resolution obligations. [Specify retention period if a minimum applies, e.g. records retained for a minimum of 5 years.]
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing (which may prevent us from providing the service). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.
8. Communications and Opt-Out
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the opt-out option in the message or by contacting us. Service-related messages necessary to operate your account may still be sent.
9. Grievance Officer / Contact
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, the Grievance Officer for Algo Veda is:
