Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 6 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of algoveda.com and the Algo Veda platform (trade.algoveda.com), operated by Algoveda ("Algo Veda", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing the website or using the platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Risk Disclosure. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using Algo Veda, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, of sound mind, and legally capable of entering a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. You must hold a valid trading and demat account with a broker supported by Algo Veda, and you are responsible for complying with all applicable SEBI and exchange regulations governing algorithmic trading.
3. Nature of the Service
Algo Veda provides algorithmic trading tools and workflow software that let you connect your own broker API, deploy rule-based strategies (including ready-made strategies and strategies you configure or attach), test in a paper-trading (simulated) environment, and move to live execution through your connected broker.
Algo Veda is a technology platform, not a stock broker, investment adviser, portfolio manager, or (unless separately registered) research analyst. Algo Veda does not hold or have access to your funds or securities, and does not execute trades independently of your connected, SEBI-registered broker account. All orders are placed through your own broker account under your authorization.
4. Risk Disclosure
Algorithmic trading involves substantial financial risk, and past performance is not indicative of future results. You bear sole responsibility for all trading decisions and any resulting losses. Please read our full Risk Disclosure before using the platform.
5. Account Registration and Security
- You must provide accurate, current information during registration and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Algo Veda credentials and your broker API keys/tokens, and for all activity under your account.
- You must promptly revoke and rotate any broker API key you believe has been compromised, and notify us of any unauthorized use.
6. Trading Strategies
You are solely responsible for all orders generated through your connected broker account via the platform, including orders placed by automated strategies, whether pre-built or custom-attached. You should independently evaluate any strategy, and test it in paper-trading mode, before deploying it with live capital. Where a strategy operates as a "black box" (its internal logic is not disclosed to you), this may attract additional SEBI requirements; see the Risk Disclosure.
7. No Financial Advice
Nothing on Algo Veda constitutes investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Strategy descriptions, statistics, and educational content are provided for informational purposes only. You should conduct your own research and consult a qualified, SEBI-registered advisor before making any trading or investment decision.
8. Fees and Payment
Applicable fees and current pricing are provided on request or as displayed at the time of subscription. Payments are handled per the terms shown at checkout. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
9. Platform Availability
We aim to keep the platform available and performant but do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation. Broker API outages, exchange downtime, connectivity issues, or third-party service failures are outside our control, and we are not liable for losses arising from such interruptions.
10. Data Accuracy
While we take care to display accurate information, we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data, statistics, or strategy performance figures shown on the platform. Such information may be delayed, simulated, or subject to error.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and software on algoveda.com and trade.algoveda.com are the property of [Legal Entity Name] or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the platform or its strategies without our written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Algo Veda and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including trading losses, lost profits, or data loss, arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Algo Veda harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the platform, or violation of applicable law or broker/exchange rules.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, regulatory requirement, or misuse. You may stop using the platform and disconnect your broker API access at any time.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to [arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated at [City] / the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [City]].
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
